‘그 집’은 송암문화재단의 창립자 송암 이회림(1917-2007) 선생의 탄생 100주년을 기념하여 마련된 전시이다. 송암문화재단 산하의 OCI미술관은 재단 건물 ‘송암회관’을 전시장으로 개조하여 지금의 모습이 된 곳으로, 이번 전시는 이제 미술관이 된 송암의 ‘집’에서 미술 품으로 지어보는 상상의 집이다. 점차 바깥에서부터 집의 안쪽으로 초대되는 듯한 순서로 구성되었으며, 송암이 수집한 고미술품과 북한 유화 등, OCI미술관의 소장품과 OCI Young Creatives와 OCI미술관 창작스튜디오를 거쳐 간 젊은 작가들의 작품이 출품되었다. 우선 1층에 서는 우청 황성하를 중심으로 박종호, 유근택, 이현호, 임택, 허수영과 북한 화가 한상익의 풍경화로 꾸려졌다. 2층은 석지 채용신의 <팔도 미인도>와 책가도, 도자와 함께 양정욱, 이우성, 전은희, 정재호, 홍정욱의 작품으로 사람이 북적이는 거리와 세간살이를 만들었다. 3층에서는 박경종이 과거 송암이 사용하던 물품을 사용하여 흥미로운 방을 꾸몄다. 여러 시대가 한데 어우러진 이번 전시를 통하여 그간 차곡차곡 쌓아온 OCI미술관의 행보를 살펴볼 수 있다.

The Red Brick House commemorates the 100th anniversary of LEE Hoi-rim, the founder of the Songam Foundation. An affiliated institution of the Songam Foundation, the OCI Museum of Art occupies the ‘Songam Hall’, LEE’s private residence that was later rebuilt into a museum. The exhibition is organized in a sequence in which one is guided from the outside of the house toward the interior. It is comprised of Korean traditional artworks that LEE had collected during his lifetime and the works of young artists supported by the OCI Young Creatives and its artist-in-residence program. Various artworks will eventually become an imaginary house. The first floor features landscape paintings by HWANG Sung-ha, PARK Jong-ho, YOO Geun-taek, LEE Hyun-ho, LIM Taek, and HEO Su-young and also by the North Korean painter HAN Sang-ik. On the second floor, a street bustling with people and household articles features Portraits of Eight Beauties by CHAE Yong-sin and Chaekgeori with ceramics of Joseon Dynasty, and contemporary works by YANG Junguk, LEE Woo-sung, JUN Eun-hee, JUNG Jae-ho and HONG Jung-ouk. On the third floor, Shawn PARK creates an interesting room using the everyday objects including those LEE Hoi-rim once used. This exhibition will serve as an opportunity to catch a glimpse at the path the museum has so far trodden.
