《이력서: 박미나와 Sasa[44]》는 사물과 정보를 조사-수집-분석하는 방법론을 발전시켜 온 박미나와 Sasa[44]의 2인전이다. 두 작가는 2002년 첫 협업 전시를 시작으로 생산과 소비, 원본과 복제의 전후 관계에 대한 문제의식을 공유했고, 현재까지도 실험적 관계 설정을 통해 개인 작업과 공동 작업을 병행하고 있다. 이번 전시는 박미나와 Sasa[44]가 지난 20여 년간 따로, 또 함께 선보인 전시와 그 기록을 이력서의 형식을 빌려 하나의 전시로 재구성한다.
전시는 이력서의 양식에 따라 ‘전시 이력’과 ‘참고문헌’으로 나뉜다. ‘전시 이력’에서는 박미나와 Sasa[44]의 주요 전시를 가로지르며 초기작과 대표작, 미발표작 150여 점을 살펴볼 수 있다. 작업들은 과거의 전시와 현재를 매개하는 장치이면서, 작업 간의 연계를 강조하는 분류와 배치에 의해 새로운 의미를 드러낸다. ‘참고문헌’은 2001년부터 2022년까지 발행된 국내외 신문, 잡지 등의 연속간행물 중 박미나와 Sasa[44]가 언급된 1,259개의 기사를 수집하여 한 권의 책과 사운드 작업으로 재구성하였다.
《CV: MeeNa PARK & Sasa[44]》 is a dual exhibition of works by MeeNa PARK and Sasa[44], two artists who have been developing methodologies for investigating, collecting, and analyzing objects and information over the course of their careers. Showcasing a shared critical awareness around the context of production and consumption, original and replica with their first joint exhibition in 2002, MeeNa PARK and Sasa[44] continue to work both individually and collaboratively through establishing experimental relational conditions. CV borrows the conventions of a curriculum vitae to reconstruct two decades of exhibitions held by the artists, separately and together, and combine them into one show.
The exhibition is divided into two sections, echoing the format of a CV: “Exhibition Record” and “Bibliography.” In “Exhibition Record,” visitors encounter over 150 pieces that include early and representative works that span the entirety of MeeNa PARK and Sasa[44]’s major past exhibitions, as well as some that have never been shown. In “Bibliography,” 1,259 articles that mention MeeNa PARK and/or Sasa[44], clipped from domestic and international newspapers, magazines, and other serial publications published between 2001 and 2022, are collected and reconstituted into a book and a sound installation.
