문화 예술인들의 인물 사진과 무대 사진 전문 작가 이은주는 11월 15 일부터 22일까지 인사동 선아트센터에서 ‘새로운 세상을 열어가는 여성 리더 18인’ 사진전을 개최한다. 이번 사진전에는 강수진 국립발레단장, 주주장 미국 ABC 방송 ‘나이트라인’ 앵커 등 국내 혹은 해외에서 탁월한 리더십을 보여주고 있는 선구적 여성리더들의 사진과 그들이 직접 쓴 짧은 글이 전시된다. 여성리더들의 따뜻하면서도 생생한 에너지가 담긴 이번 사진전은 함께 여성 시대를 열어가는 여성들에게는 든든한 도반을 만나는 반가움을 안겨주고, 여성 시대를 향해 발돋움하고 있는 젊은 여성들에게는 격려와 힘이 되어주는 의미 있는 전시회가 될 것이다. 

한편 이은주는 사진작가로 살아온 지난 40년 소중한 인연을 맺었던 각계 문화예술인과 리더들의 사진과 글을 담은 『사진으로 만난 인연이은주 사진집/ LEE Eunjoo’s Photo ODYSSEY』를 출간, 11월 15일 전시회 오프닝과 겸해 출판기념회를 갖는다.

LEE Eun-joo is a photographer specializing in portrait and stage photography. Her new exhibition, 18 Women Leaders Opening the Way to a New World, will take place Nov. 15-22, 2017, at Sun Art Center (Seonhwalang Gallery) in Insa-dong. The exhibition features pioneering women leaders, including KANG Suejin, artistic director of the Korean National Ballet, and Juju CHANG, anchor of the “Nightline” TV program at ABC News in the United States. A short text accompanies each of the photos. This photo exhibition highlighting the warmth and vitality of these pioneering women leaders will be particularly inspiring for today’s young women. LEE Eun-joo has photographed many artists and leaders over the past 40 years. A ceremony will be held on the exhibition’s opening day, Nov. 15, to mark the publication of LEE Eun-joo’s Photo Odyssey.
